Chapter 3: Deforestation

Deforestation is the biggest rainforest killer. Millions of trees are cut down each year. This means that less oxygen is being released into the world. The causes and impacts of this are going to be very large and may be fatal. Like deforestation impact is less oxygen. Fact: An acre long line of trees only provides the daily oxygen amount 0f 18 people. So the less trees we have, the less oxygen. Deforestation also prevents the surrounding soil form gaining nutrients from fallen dead leaves that would fall every month or so. The thing is many farmers will burn large quantities of land for farmland, of town councils will deforest to build roads or railways etc.
It is mainly happening because of what people want, and they don't usually think about the effect it has on the environment. Some tribes cut down areas of the rainforest but they will come back to it and repeat using it every 30 or so years.
